What Happened Here?

The contaminants in the groundwater which are mainly PCE, TCE, Vinyl Chloride and Dissolved VOC's have migrated below Playport Mobile Home Village and  beyond. The direction of the groundwater  flow is Southwest . The Toxic substances originated near 17 TH ST and Monrovia. 

The pollution is now felt by the local population.

Living above contaminated Soil and Groundwater is what many Playport  residents are faced with and have to deal with on daily basis.

The vapor ascending from below the homes and air pollutants carried by wind enter roof vents and into living spaces creating dire health conditions. As a result,  vulnerable seniors are sick at their own houses. 

Respiratory, Cardiac, Eyes irritation, and other symptoms making life hard for many.

People developing illness since they moved to the park were otherwise fine in prior residency.

Homeowners did not know about the Contamination before moving into the park.

Catching everyone by surprise when reports of the pollution were found online at the Department of Toxic Substances Control website.
