CONTAMINANTS OF CONCERN:

TETRACHLOROETHYLENE (PCE)

TRICHLOROETHYLENE (TCE)..



PCE was detected  in  all  but  one  soil  sample  at  concentrations ranging  from  0.17J ยตg/kg  to  4,900  ยตg/kg.    The  highest  PCE  was  reported  in  the  sample  collected  at 25  feet  bgs  from  boring  SB-7.    Boring  SB-7  is  located  near  the  degreaser  area just  to  the  north  of  Building  10. ๏‚ท  TCE  was  detected  in  91  of  the  130  soil  samples  collected  at  concentrations ranging  from  0.28J  ยตg/kg  to  380  ยตg/kg.    The  highest  TCE  was  detected  in  a sample  collected  at  30  feet  bgs  from  boring  SB-12.  Boring  SB-12  is  located southeast  of  Building  10. ๏‚ท  cis-1,2-DCE  was  found  in  51  of  the  130  soil  samples  collected  at  concentrations ranging  from  0.22J  ยตg/kg  to  170  ยตg/kg.    The  highest  cis-1,2-DCE  was  detected  in a  sample  collected  at  10  feet  bgs  from  boring  SB-12.  Boring  SB-12  is  located southeast  of  Building  10. ๏‚ท  Trans-1,2-DCE  was  found  in  19  of  the  130  soil  samples  collected  at concentrations  ranging  from  1.2  ยตg/kg  to  42  ยตg/kg.    The  highest  trans-1,2-DCE was  detected  in  a  sample  collected  at  10  feet  bgs  from  boring  SB-12.  Boring  SB12  is located  southeast  of  Building  10. ๏‚ท  1,1-DCE  was  found  in  11  of  the  130  soil  samples  collected  at  concentrations ranging  from  0.34J  ยตg/kg  to  2.1  ยตg/kg.    The  highest  trans-1,2-DCE  was  detected in  a  sample  collected  at  30  feet  bgs  from  boring  SB-11.  Boring  SB-11  is  located between  Buildings 9  and  10. ๏‚ท  Vinyl  chloride  was  detected  in  8  of  the  130  soil  samples  collected  at concentrations  ranging  from  0.63J  ยตg/kg  to  7  ยตg/kg.    The  highest  vinyl  chloride was  detected  in  a  sample  collected  at  10  feet  bgs  from  boring  SB-12.  Boring  SB12  is located  southeast  of  Building  10.

 The map shows where testing of contaminants in SB7 SB11 SB12 is done.

Depth of the soil bores  vary from 25 FT to 30 FT below ground surface.

 Site owners have cooperated with the DTSC by removing soil to slow down the migration of The chemicals.


It is short of total elimination of VOC's.

The Groundwater concentration of PCE and TCE have increased from year 2018 to present time.
